BATH MAT? Cat mat...

Most people get bath mats to put in the bottom of their bath tub/shower. We have a bathtub and a shower, but they are in separate bathrooms.

I actually got this 'bath' mat for another reason.

We all know cats often tell us what to do, especially when it comes to feeding time and how to take care of their litter boxes.

Well, we have 5 kitties, and there is one in the house, we can't figure out which one, who insisted that the litter box not only be uncovered, but that it had to be in a certain corner of the house. Of course, this corner just happens to be in our dining room, next to the fireplace...and not where we thought as a good place for it. After countless times finding puddles in that corner, damaging the wooden floor, we finally gave in. We moved the litter box into that corner, but then the litter tracking was a problem.

So, I decided to try finding a mat that would work for that...and settled on this bath mat. I liked it because it has suction cups on the bottom and would be a good liquid proof barrier to the protect the wooden floor. When it came, it was actually of even better quality than I thought it would be. It is very sturdy thick rubber material and is working very well for its purpose. It also came with a nice loofah.

So far, that kitty appears to be quite happy with the new arrangement and the mat has also served it purpose a few times they missed the box.
